If it helps, the transfer of stock into your newly set up warehouse would normally take place with an IM 561 movement.

Best of luck!

Does the Plant have another IM-only storage location? If so, do all the configuration for WM but DO NOT YET assign the WM location to the IM Storage Location.

Transfer all of the materials out of the IM-only location you intend to convert and then assign the Warehouse to the IM Storage Location.

Now move the materials back to the newly converted Storage Location and put the materials in storage bins in the new WM using the material document to create the Put-Away Transfer Order. (You could investigate using LSMW to accomplish both parts of this).

If you don't have another IM-only storage location, then you could inventory the materials out of the system and inventory them back on once you assign the WM to the IM.

Hope this helps!
