The item category in the sales order comes due to item category
determination.
The t.code to do item category determination is VOV4
here the parameters considered for item category determination are:
sales document type+item category group+item usage+higher level item
category=default item category
sales document type is the doc type with which you are creating an order.
eg-OR
Item category group is coming from material master sales org 2 tab
item usage
higher level item category from the sales document line item category.

From where comes the details of ItCa when I place an order?? When I enter an order some materials come up with ZEXP, others with ZTAS, but I cannot find these details in MM03 on the specific material. In MM03 is only stated Item Catrgory Group under Sales Org. 2.
