Reply from LCC352 on May 7 at 5:17 PM Hi, Horatio. Odd, isn't it? The issue is that the Writer side simply asks for a library and a report name. You can put anything in there that matches. The painter side is more of a "canned" look, with a hierarchy of libraries and the painters that belong to them. Writers don't show up.
I don't know of a way to convert a writer to a painter. Again, oddly enough, you can convert a painter to a writer. It gives the column/row sets generic names and such. Just refer to the painter in the create step.
However, if you try to create a painter referencing a writer, again, they just don't show up in the drop-down. Once you enter a library, you are only presented with other painters in that library to choose from to base your new painter on.
