I would appreciate to know if anyone has implemented this business process and whether it was successful : My client needs to manage serial numbers in WM. They do not want to implement Handling Unit, because of its unnecessary complicacy. We know that SAP does not have any standard solution to track serial numbers in WM without HUM. So, I am planning to propose the use of the storage unit to store the serial numbers. We would also have a custom development to update the Quant data with the serial number, so that any movement in WM can track the serial number. Can anyone tell me whether this has worked and what are the precautions needed? Thanks. |
