Thank you for your response. It sounds like you are saying there is no standard SAP config to connect the HSA contribution level to the medical plan dependent coverage level. Is that correct?

I had searched for questions like this, and found one from 2007 that asked a similar question. The original poster remarked that SAP would not do that, and custom code would be needed, but another responder said that "ECC 6.0 SAP has Standard Delivered functionality to Handle this configuration." I was hoping that there would be standard config that would connect these two different plans. I see that there is a place in the benefits-Health plans config that allow you to identity the high deductible plans that are HSA-relevant, so I was hoping that if you identified a high deductible plan as HSA relevent, and then defined a savings plan as an HSA, SAP would know to tie them together. Does anyone know what the point is to identifying a health plan as HSA relevant?

Subject: Set HSA Contribution Group Based on HDHP Dependent Coverage Level

I would like to set up an HSA on the 169, and have different employee and employer contribution varaints for the different coverage levels in the HDHP medical plan. How do I direct the employee into the correct coverage group (I assume in the EECGR and ERCGR features) based on their dependent coverage level in the medical plan? Is there a standard SAP way to do that, or do I need to call a custom program from the features?

Or is there another way this is meant to be done, and I am not even asking the right question?

Currently we DO have an HSA set up as a Flex plan on the 170, but we only have one limit, and we need to audit the amount based on the medical coverage level of the employee. I'd like to replace that with a design that lets SAP monitor it for us.
