I'm not sure what you're looking for, but there are several tables that might be of help. Check out VARID (this has userid, create date, change date), VARIS (useful if the same program has variants for different screens), and VARIT (has the short description of each variant) in addition to VARI. If you're really looking for the parameters entered for a given program then you'll need the function module. There are so many different possibilities for fields and field content that you really can't get that from a simple table.
We've made use of VARID to look up a given user's preferred variant for a program so we can use that variant when building a screen.

Subject: Variant Content in Table VARICON not shown

Dear colleagues,

I just learned about table VARICON. It is supposed to show a variant's content. With SE16 or SE11 it does not show anything.

Does anyone have a hint?
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Nick
