Hi Dean,

Thanks for your reply, i got the SPACE group error sorted out. But it's still a mistery why the trusting RFC does not use FQDN.

Subject: Trusting RFC not using FQDN

Hello guys,

Right now i just finished installing SAP Fiori and i am in the phase of configuring SAPUI5 and Gateway.

So, in both systems the corresponding RFC's, and then logged in Back-End i created the trusting relationship between both NW Gateway and Back-End with SMT1 wizard, but when i check the RFC trusting@SID connection on the NW GW system i realize that hostname doesn't have FQDN portion, just the hostname, is there a way to edit this RFC to modify it?

I get the typical error:

- Error Details Error when opening an RFC connection (LB: Hostname or service of the message server unknown.
- ERROR: Group SPACE not found.

Both servers are based on NW 7.31 (ECC6.0 EhP6 and NW GW 2.0 SP07) with MaxDB 7.9 and SLES 11. In /etc/hosts of both servers all SAP servers are included, also i created sapmsSID service when needed in services file.

Has anyone had this problem?

I'll appreciate if someone could shed a ray of light on this.

Thank you.
BR's.
