You go for cost centre change mode Tcode KS02 and select Control tab then deselect planed revenue check box and then save.
Also add the profit center in the cost center master data. I trust you have made the GL a/c with proper account group for Cost center posting.

Usually cost centers are locked for a reason. I suggest you talk to the fi
support person and find out why it's locked and see if they can give you the
correct cost center to post to.
