Reply from Odysseus on Jun 21 at 5:47 PM I've worked with both PI and Sterling Integrator as EDI tools and I'm an old SAP guy: ABAP and IDocs. Can't really say that either is better. Depends on how you use them. Is it only for EDI or are you also doing internal interfaces? Are you doing web services or other non-EDI B2B integration? PI is designed for services while SI has a clear EDI heritage but is moving in the direction of services. Look at it as a bigger investment than just an EDI system. The other thing is who will give you the best deal? Push them both and use the other to squeeze them as much as possible. If you can get a good deal (and don't forget training and initial support) out of either of them maybe price/value is the deciding factor. Good luck.

Also which tool is better as an enterprise EDI tool? Please note we already have Gentran and Sterling File Gateway and also a major SAP shop. | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
