ok code will display the next available line and loop through in that
manner.

To add a bit. There are lots of places were the BAPI and function module do not support all of the SAP delivered functionality that is in the transactions.
One example, is the ability to "create with reference" in Order entry (transaction VA01). I have not looked through any methods, yet. But, the function modules do not support the create with reference at least for certain SD document types.
I wanted to add this one because it seems wrong to not build in this functionality when it is such a basic functionality.
I always try to find a non-BDC solution first.
