We use CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT' fairly regularly. We
used to be able to use it on arbitrary strings. SAP has changed it to Only
work on up to 18 character fields. I was using it on a 20 character
field. So, not I have to write my own conversion exit for this and similar
instances. I haven't reviewed the actual code change yet, so I'm still not
sure what they've changed. Just that it dumps if the field is longer than
18 characters.
