I could have not said it better :). If you have a lot of developed code (that comes from years and years and that it is working.... you don't want to change it because the programming trends tell you so. It implies a lot of effort and resources.

On the reusable code side. OO is not the only reusable code. We have many
reusable includes and FM's. In older installations, it is hard to sell OO
when an FM solution already exists. Retro fitting to OO is more trouble
than it is worth. In other words, OO is a super trend for newer
installations, but maybe not so for older.
