That '5' was already depreciated giving zero value in B/S. ( no residual
value =cost - accum deprn a/c in B/S)
What you need to do is only to write off the asset from asset register.

Subject: Asset to Inventory

Hello Guys,

We have a material in the inventory item then is converted into an asset.

The depreciation begins on asset.

If company decides to transfer that asset back into inventory, back out the depreciation and treat it as a sale of inventory item.

We run tx. MB1A - 242 mvt type to convert asset to inventory

i.e. If the Asset value is 100 and the MAP at that time is 95 - 242 mvt type will take the asset into stock at 95

Hence, a balance of 5 would remain on the asset...

What can i do to scrap this balance out ?

How can I achieve this in SAP.

Thanks in advance
