Thanks all for the reply. The issue was already encountered a few weeks after go live (October 2011) from then on no new assets are created anymore only AUC as a result from WBS settlement. The project people however didn't have time to find a solution, because a new milestone was already on going. So the users of this company code are still waiting for the solution and correction.
And yes we have several company codes assigned to this chart of depreciation. In the mean time I heard there will be more companies merged into this company code with a next milestone. So we need to solve this before.

Hello
I have a problem, my client assigned the wrong company code to the Chart of depreciation. In the mean time this company code is already a year in production.
it is my task to correct and assign the company code to the correct chart of depreciation. However the system is showing error because we have existing assets and AUC. The AUC have posting from settlement on the WBS element.
has anyone experience on this topic to provide me a good solution?
