There are several - std price, moving avg price, future price, etc. For each there could be different reasons why they do not update en masse - for example some, like future price, also require a correlating date to be entered. Perhaps you have overlooked this in the set up of the mass update.
If you are running a mass update of material prices, why are you not doing this via a costing run (CK40N)?
When you received the error message, did you double click into to get the detail? - often it will tell you what is missing, and, if you're lucky, what to do to fix the problem.

Hi experts,
I have a question about MM17.
There are 5,000 material master which price unit need to be changed,when i use the transaction code MM17 to update, the system showed an error," Messages have been issued: number MASS000097000000" and the noticification number is "MK101".And also,the material master was not changed.
After that , I tried to check if there's any authorize I lack with "/OSU53" , but the check is succesful .
So , could anybody give me some advices?
