If you're looking at needing to change a large number of assets, I'd look into creating and using an LSMW.

If you want to replace the description, model number and cost center etc. in the asset master, is it possible to change these in a mass upload or mass change mode?
The cost center needs changing to a new cost center but each asset number will have a different cost center for example
asset ID 1 = cc 10000
asset ID 2 = cc 10200
asset ID 3 = cc 10000
asset ID 4 = cc 10300
asset ID 5 = cc 10200 etc...
