First, stop thinking BAPI. You only need a BAPI if you are updating SAP
standard tables and doing so directly. That means Only SAP is going to
create a BAPI. What you need is a RFC-able FM.

About your input. Can you give us more detail on what you are trying to do?

Subject: BAPI Import Parameter to Be a String

My Dear Fellow ABAP Consultants,
My requirement is to create a BAPI with an import parameter as a "STRING" .To this BAPI I'll be getting raw data of an image from Mobile. Is there any idea how to assign an import parameter of string. It is maximum allowing 255 char length. Raw data for an image can be more than 36000 bytes..so..its tough for my Mobile developers to append all that 36000 & above characters in that 255char.. table

Thanks,
SKUMAR
