My company keeps employee emergency contact information in IT0021, subtype 7. Included in this data is the emergency contact phone number. Normally, this phone number is in the same country (i.e., US) as the employee. The standard telephone number fields (area code + phone number) are used in the infotype (from MP0106). However, we have a case where the emergency contact number is an international number (i.e., Germany). The US format for the phone number will not accept the international number. I need to be able to indicate that the phone number needs to be a different format (kind of like the ability to use a "foreign address" format for Infotype 6 for address). Has anyone run into this situation? If so, how did you solve it? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
