Horatio, I think the point the help was trying to make was that the "validation table" will cause F4 help to be available, but it will not force the field to contain 1 of the "validation table" entries. This check only happens if the table field has a foreign key set up to the "validation table". This is different behavior from the "fixed values" entered on the domain. Only those fixed values are valid for the table field. If the domain has a "value table" and has "fixed entries", the "fixed entries" are the only values that show up in the F4 help and are the only values that will allow the field value to be saved. I just tested this with some DD objects I just created. Thanks for your answers, Bruce

I haven't been able to determine why. The database table-field used to define the field doesn't have a search help defined. The data element of the table field doesn't have a search help defined. Debugging the code before the selection screen pops up caused me the get lost down a deep hole of SAP code. Why does this field have F4 help? tables: t004f. " Field status definition groups select-options: s_group for t004f-fstag. Thanks, Bruce | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
