Hi Razak
In the IMG ( additional activities ) you can furnish reference of Retained
Earnings Account(s) even before actually creating such General Ledger
Account(s). The system would accept such mapping with a warning message
indicating that you are yet to create the Retained Earnings Account(s). Just
remember to create the mapped G L accounts subsequently via FS00. Failing to
do so would hinder transaction posting. Create the Retained Earnings Master
Record(s) via FS00 exactly as mapped in IMG. Please also remember to map the
appropriate retained earnings account ( with X,Y, Z etc) in all cost and
revenue related General Ledger Master records ( P & L related accounts ) if
you are using more than one retained earnings account.

I really appreciate your reply which has clarified my doubt.
Is it necessary to create same GL ( what we assigned for retained earnings
account )under P&L group in FS00 ?
System is accepting without creating the same.
