I'm with Neal. You da man!
I'm going to incorporate that SCP_REPLACE function (and also the 'kill the 0xA0 spaces' code) into ALL of my development that juggles data that came originally from a user's spreadsheet. I've spent too much of MY time chasing down data that kills our EDI processes, or makes 'valid' data invisible to searches.
