You can not change the Joining date for an employee after the Payroll run, However there is a crude way of doing it .
Go to PA30 -- Change payroll status--> IT 0003 --> Change the following date in fields Earliest Pers RA Date & Accounted to, Earliest MD change.
No go to PA41 and try if you are able to change to joining date
