Beware, I do not know what ASKBN code is, or if it is different than ASKB.
Run ASKB and then a repeat of depreciation for AFAB.
You can run these as often as you like, in any order but be sure you run AFAB last if new transactions have occurred since the previous AFAB.
ASKB updates your asset values for all other depreciation areas besides the real-time 01, so you need to run depreciation after ASKB.
No problems if your only depreciation area is 01. But you probably have more than just 01 DA. Also, run AFAR before your final AFAB repeat of each period.

Instructions we have for month end /year end is to post the ASKBN before the AFAB depreciation run however the asset accountant ran AFAB for period 12 (year end) before ASKBN.
He did not get an errors but is concerned because of the sequence of the transactions. Will there be a problem in the subsequent year when processing the monthly entries? |
