You can try BDC with the help of your ABAP person using transaction SHDB.

It's not real clear what you mean by 'Center'. That doesn't really matter, though. If you can do this process of extending a material to the new 'center' with the normal functional transactions, but you can't in LSMW, then you really have a development question about how your LSMW project was constructed. You should bring in the services of your ABAP team to evaluate what the LSMW is doing.
