I agree that this is a reactive solution - however, when someone in authority tells someone who has little understanding of the underlying data to "delete the shipment and delivery so we can correct the sales order" they can take it quite literally.
Could be any number of things - we are relatively new to SAP so errors come for all places possible.
It there is another way I would be most appreciative if someone would share the process.
Yes - the shipment actually occurred.
