Hi David, I have had many occasions to change valuation class for a material after material movements have been posted. This is only for purchased material - I understand manufactured items are more difficult. To change the valuation class: 1. Check all open purchase orders for material that GR qty = IR qty. I use ME2M for material and select selection parameters WE101 and RECHNUNG. I use this to validate before and after. If they are different, I either reverse goods issue (IF GR > IR) or receive PO (if GR < IR). Reversals are done using Return Delivery > Material Document 2. Flag all PO's for deletion. I use mass maintenance tool MEMASSPO and select only Pos that are not already flagged for deletion. Do not back out of transaction - make sure you keep the result list so you can unflag PO's when valuation class is changed 3. If they are not purchased parts or semi-finished goods, you must archive all orders for material. 4. Issue all on hand for material 5. Change valuation class 6. Reverse material doc that issued on hand 7. Un-delete PO's deleted in step 2 8. Reverse all material docs created 9. Validate before and after On hand, open Pos Hope this helps, Wendy [image: Image removed by sender.] Posted by David on Mar 14 at 10:03 PM Dear Gurus, Is there any easy way to change valuation class in material master data?
