Lucas, there are several standard reports that may provide what you are
looking for.

First in the Logistic Information System (LIS) are several summary
reports. From main SAP Menu. Information Systems>Logistics>Inventory
Management, find report tcodes MC.9, MC.A, MC.B, and MC.C

You may also find these of use:

MCBA Stock Analysis - Plant
MCBC Stock Analysis - SLoc
MC44 Inventory Turnover
MC46 Slow Moving Inventory
MC5B Stock on Posting Date

Subject: How to calculate the time a material stays in the warehouse?

Jim,

Thank you very much for the help. Your suggestion is really a good start, but I also want to measure the mean time a given material stayed in the warehouse in the last months, do you know?

I'm trying to mesure this time with the transaction MB51, analysing the movements 101 (goods receipt) and 601(goods issue) of a given part. What do you think of that?

Thanks.
