Thanks for your reply.
Now we have decided to use AIX 4.3 (same as of production server) server as the test upgrade server.
In our second scenario, our target server is Red hat Linux 5.3. Can I install below combination
R3 4.6C + oracle 10g + Red Hat Linux 5.3
OS, sap application and database all are in 64 bit.
Note : I have checked the PAM, but not getting exact info on 4.6C and the latest OS.
