Hello,
OBYR should have the down payments checkbox selected in SAP standard for M. M will automatically use F as the real Special GL. Though AIMB should already appear in F as mentioned in your mail.
Extra, check AO90 has been done correctly for the Down payments paid and assets under construction Account Determination.

Subject: F-47 Target indicator error
Dear SAP Gurus,
I am posting down payment request with f-47 for asset under construction. I choose target indicator M then I get this error message: " Special G/L indicator M is not defined for down payments". When I enter A there, I got no error but I can't process down payment for asset under construction. I have maintain alternative GL recon. account for both A and M special transaction indicator in OBYR. I have also added target indicator for indicator F propriety. I put "AIMB" there.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
