Hi Satish,

It is not recommended to restore the 64Bit Database onto a 32Bit Database, you should restore to a 64Bit in a DR system. However technically it is possible.

You must make sure there are no connections to the database before you start the restore. Make sure SAP has been stopped on the target system.

Regards

Subject: How to restore the sqsever 2005 to anothe machine

Hi All,

I am testing the production data to another sap test system. I am using production server with windows 2003, 64-bit with Sql Server2005 and another test machine configuration is Windows 2003, 32-bit with Sql Server2005. The previous production data already restore in the test machine. Today i restoring the data to test machine,
getting error message " System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: Exclusive access could not be obtained because the database is in use. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)"

Thanks & Regards,

Satish Ahirkar
