Hi Experts,

Thanks for your responses.
I have fixed that error myself. I don't know how it was resolved but the last step which i did was replaced Oracle.exe located /oracle/SID/102/Bin directory with a file from other server which is running on same oracle version and patch set. As i found some size difference when i compare with other server. Now i have done with ABAP stack installation successfully.

But now i got some other error with java stack installation. I created a separate user and started java stack installation as discussed earlier i have created multiple homes with multiple listeners with different SID's . The java stack installation terminated at Configure oracle Network services" phase. Java SID listener is failed to start. please see below error.

C:\Documents and Settings\bdjadm>lsnrctl status

))
TNS-12541: TNS:no listener
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00511: No listener
64-bit Windows Error: 61: Unknown error

I have given different port numbers for ABAP and JAVA stack. For ABAP - 1521 and for JAVA -1523 still it says TNS is already in use.

Please help me.

Regards,
Vinod

Subject: Help on BI 7.01 Installatiion on Linux, oracle

Hi Experts,

I have to install BI 7.01 on Linux and Oracle Database.

I have gone through the installation guide from market place. I see from NW 7.0 EHp1 there is no option in installation master for dual stack (i.e ABAp+ JAVA).As BI java is required.

Can you please suggest me on how to proceed with the installation.

Also can some one guide me on how to prepare file system layout in Linux Ex: /root , /SWAP./dump, /oracle,/opt /usr, /home etc).

Disk : 400 GB @ SAN Storage
RAM : 8 GB
No. Of CPUs : 4 Quadcore, Intel Xeon (Scalable to 8 CPU)

I would appricate your quick response.

Regards,
Vinod
