[sap-acct] WIP at target cost for Production Order

Hello Costing Experts,

Some body please help to unravel this mystery. Is there any link between WIP at target cost and operation confirmation.


I am trying to calculate WIP for production order at Target Cost. The target cost calculation should be based on the plan cost estimate for the production order.

Made all the configuration settings from result analysis key to posting rules.

Created production order, created plan cost which contains material, duration and outside conversion part.

Issued material to the production order through 261 movement. Production order got debited with material cost.

But at this stage if I try to calculate WIP at target I am getting zero value. SAP showing message that there is no change in result analysis. But the order is debited with 100k cost.


WIP is calculated only and only of first operation is confirmed, but first operation is not at all related to good issue.

Am I missing any link between operation confirmation and WIP at target.


Please enlighten me gurus.
