Check if you have any user exit for IT 8 and if it is the reason.
You can trace the problem, by entering command /h after you enter the details in the IT 8 screen. Of course, this will require a good amount of patience and time.
The annual salary is dependent upon:
- feature ANSAL - defines the wage type for annual salary
- feature PFREQ - defines the processing frequency of payroll for the employee's payroll area.
- V_512W_B - Wage type characteristics - for the w/t from ANSAL
- V_T539J_B - Base wage type valuation - for w/t which you obtain from ANSAL
The structure PME07 is used for the two features above and this does not have employment status. So unless you are using a different structure with this status and the features contain decision based on empl.status, you may have some user coding which is causing this problem. See if you have any documentation re: any such changes.

For some employees as inactive it won't allow us to save their new salary. We figured this out once but it took about 30 min of manipulating data and just enter the same thing over and over. What I can do is save Ann Salary but it won't populate wage type or vice versa. Once they are active it works again. |
