Subject: How to know field name by its technical name

Hi Tina,

To find the technical field name, in PA20 or PA30, place the cursor on the field and press F1. You will see a pop-up window appearing. In the pop-up window, click on "Technical Information" button (4th button from the left). Another pop-up window will appear showing the technical information of the field, which include the field name and table name.

Generally, the table name will be PAnnnn/PBnnnn, where nnnn is the infotype number and PA/PB are for employee and applicant tables respectively (e.g. PA0000 refer to IT0000 for employee).

Hope this helps.

Rgds,
CL
