Hi Vidhyadhar,

Thanks for your reply. I could check again the repeat of the Dunning run for the customer after it has reached its final Dunning level and the Repeat of the Internal dunning notice was created.

I have selected a wrong customer earlier for one of the dunning runs. Also the problem with testing a Dunning run is we cannot have the results immediately. If the Dunning levels are 3 and to test some of the things we need to wait minimum 3 days to know clearly.

Regards,
SNK.

Subject: Dunning some questions

Hi SNK

I can understand your predicament when the system does not spew out results
after a carrying out a repeat dunning. There could be one or more reasons
for such system behavior identification of which is rendered easier when we
have a complete picture of the related dunning procedure. Dunning frequency
and dunning interval form simply a part of the dunning procedure. For
instance, it would be better to know how minimum amounts have been
configured for each dunning level and a non-compliance to this could also
result in a dunning without generation of a dunning notice. Dunning also
depends on things like line item grace period ( applicable for first level
dunning only ) and minimum amount in arrears ( at least one line item should
comply with the terms of configuration ) for dunning to happen.

People have a tendency to recreate (with the same parameters) dunning
proposals when a proposal fails to give a result. This could result in
multiple proposals and parameters generated and left dangling. This could
also prevent subsequent dunning. If this is the case, it would be better to
delete such unused proposals and parameters.

Dunning Blocks ( of accounts and / line items ) ,if any, could also prevent
further dunning.

Dunning Keys , defined if any, could also result in restrictive dunning that
could never allow escalation of dunning levels.

Configuration of dunning procedure which permits only incremental changes to
be printed could also be one of the reasons.

These are some of the possible reasons for a dunning procedure not resulting
in a dunning notice

A complete analysis of the procedure helps in finding out the reasons for
the inability of the system in creating a dunning notice.

May be you could carry out a detailed check how you have defined your
dunning procedure. Did you check details of last dunning level and last
dunned date in the customer master and the related line items?
