The scenario is below.
As a functional person I?need to know what information the programmer need to
create ALV report from the IDOC.
I doc type is OILSHI01, Message type is 'YOILSE' newly created.
Especially for data to be presented in ALV report, I am supplying the following
information
Doc. type, Message type, Data segment , Data field in IDOC - Its value...
Do I need to supply any other information?
Please reply soon...

Hello,
John has given you the answer
The EDI subsystem will pass the IDOC into the SAP system and save it into the
IDOC tables. From the there the link between the IDOC type, the message type and
an maybe an event will determine what happens next in SAP, for example a sales
order is created.
