Just confirmed. Yes, you could change the wbs name (ID) using CJ02. However, you may need to check the impact of the coding mask. If the coding mask is not changing then it should be easy, else do some testing. You could have some issues if the mask has both alphabets and numerics and their positions are changed in the new mask. The system maintains a unique internal number for projects and wbs numbers and it is that internal number that is referred and stored. The name or id is derived through a conversion exit for display purposes. Hence, if you change the ID, the new ID will be displayed in all the records (assets, bseg, purchase orders, cats, etc.).
