Hi A feature is like a program or PCR to process logically the input conditions and derive an output value for the feature. For beginners, it would help to use the tree maintenance view (in PView of PE03). Go through the logic for each value of the current data for an employee or other as per the data structure used in the feature. A feature may not use all the fields in a structure. In PE03, go to maintain the feature, the navigate to the structure. The used fields are highlighted. If you need to use any other field in the feature decision, highlight it and save the structure. Regenerate the feature. Then modify and save the feature decision table as you need. Then generate the feature. The feature is saved in a transport. When you move the transport to QA or Prod, the transport function will automatically generate the feature in the target system. Hope this helps.
