Thanks Guys for all the information. It was really helpful. I have gone through the planning guide again. Every time I read it I find something new :-) Depending on availability and security reasons, I am planning to have at least 2 slds...SLD in PI dev will have the development systems and SLD in the PI QA system will have the QA and production systems. And solution manager with the local sld. I did like the 3 sld approach too. Should I implement Raghav's SLD strategy as its easier to config local SLD in PI? I am using PI 7.1 EHP1 , can I use the full automatic synchronization ( which sync manual data as well) option? If that doesn't work, will use export/import route as suggested. Do we have any way to move SLD data via the transports ? Should I use CTS or CTS ? During sproxy configuration in the ECC system , does ECC need to be configured as SLD API client ? I did the config as per http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/d ocs/library/uuid/e0ac1a33-debf-2c10-45bf-fb19f6e15649?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true SPROXY in ECC is able to connect to the PI system , but doesn't display the ESR content. Could it be due to basis version difference in ESR content and ECC? Thanks! ---------------Original Message--------------- From: scottslater Sent: Tuesday, September 07, 2010 10:28 PM Subject: SLD - central , local , design-time ,runtime > For PI ( 7.1 EHP1) ,ECC 6.0 and BI ( 7.0) dev ,qa and PRD systems , how many SLDs should I deploy ?
