there are 2 possibilities.

1. simply do a standard OS backup (without BR* programs).
2. when calling BRBACKUP, you can also backup Os files in the process! such as this:

brbackup -m all,"D:\Oracle\PBI\102\database\CONTROLFILE_TRACE.txt"

This will backup all the database, but will also backup file "D:\Oracle\PBI\102\database\CONTROLFILE_TRACE.txt"
