I did a little test and this can be accomplished to some degree, but not in painter. You need to use Writer, which is a little more complex, but gives the same type of output. The key in writer is that it uses sets for rows and columns and gives more abilities within those sets. For your rows, you need to create two sets: the first is a key figure set, and you can put in the actual, planned, and variance in that set. I used ISWKG (actual) PSWKG (plan) and then a calculation for '001' - '002'. Then, create another set and make it a multi set. In that set, make the first row a variable for the cost center group (I used your 1KOSET) and in the second line, put in the key figure set you created in the first step. In the writer, the multi set is the row set and whatever you want for the column set in terms of cost elements, (you can use another variable) and then put in your fiscal year, controlling area and periods as general selections. Again, you can use variables. THAT will give you the 3 rows you want for EACH cost center. The only rub is that it didn't total at the hierarchy points. I'll leave that to another guru to figure out how to do. Short of that, it's abap all the way. -Lou ---------------Original Message--------------- From: rpolit Sent: Monday, July 05, 2010 1:21 PM Subject: Report painter formula > Hi All, > > I have a requirement as follows: > An income statement in the Report Painter set up with 5 rows of segments going across - with totals at the end, and income statement particulars going downwards.
