The issue is that the serial numbers are not being copied from you outbound delivery to your inbound delivery and as standard I believe that is the way SAP works unless you have HUM activated and your outbound delivery is packed then the HU would be re assigned from OBD to IBD. If you do not use HUM then you would need to modify the Idoc processing code to retrieve the serial number from OBD and assign them to the IBD.

The ASN that creates your inbound delivery needs to pick up the serial numbers from your outbound delivery and populate them on your inbound delivery. Then they are already there when you do your good receipt.

Hi,

I have two company set up, production and logistics. I create purchase order in logistics , using IDOC, sales order is created in productioncompany. Sales order is processed and inbound delivery document is created. IDOC is used again. These materails are batch & serialized machines. When I try to receive purchase order in logistics using inbound delivery doc, I encounter following error. Please note, I assigned serial number to outbound delivery doc for sales document processing in production

Item 000010 requires exactly 1 serial numbers for the asset

Can you help with this issue? what could be the reason? any config or master data set up missing
