Hi Keith, yes the situatuion seemed very like the vendor consigned stock, except they will keep the inventory at their plant.

The ownership does not transfer to you until you actually use the part, at which time you pay for it. This has full visibility in SAP and has the advantage that instead of the vendor reserving the stock for you at their site and then delivering it when you want, the stock is already on your site to be used immediately. The disadvantage is obviously the storage space required for the vendor owned stock. This is all standard SAP
