I know for a fact that it is possible to achieve this in ABAP
coding....which would connect with the webservices of the carrier (they
should have exposed the webservices for it to happen) We use a third party
logistics system to rate and label our shipments since we have nearely 65
carriers to take our shipments. To attack it from a cost perspective we had
developed a POC where we'd shown that we can do all the rate calculations,
mark ups, discounts, freight calculations, label printing, tracking number
etc directy from SAP. But we never did implement it anyways becoz of
business owners' apprehensions.
