Hi Mark
As stated in my previous message, the steps for connecting ERP with the Portal are described in the IMG.
Follow the IMG path:
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> SAP NetWeaver -> Business Intelligence ->
Settings for Reporting and Analysis -> BEx Web -> Integration into the Portal.
A couple tools to use during the setup is the ABAP report RSPOR_SETUP and the JAVA SupportDesk Tool (note 937697)
Another way to do it would be to implement the BI Java option in the Configuration Wizard. (note 923359)

Hi LEH ,
Thanks for your response , I have right now installed ABAP JAVA stack ( EHP4) only at the DEV box with 2 different SID. As per the installation guide one need to configure the JAVA AS to ABAP AS after the installation ..I have defined the DATA SOURCE CLIENT of ABAP ( 800) at the UME in JAVA . What else i need to configure.
