Hi Vidhya,

Do you have any experience with recent HST implementation in Ontario (Canada)? I have done the basic config (tax codes etc) but not sure how to restrict them for province wise jurisdiction. Please help??

Thanks,
Kaschif

Hi

You must be aware that every country ( viz. the government in such country)
has taxation procedures to preserve national wealth and welfare. There may
be specific mandates on taxes to be collected, paid etc defined by the
country product / service centrically to maximize national revenue and
thereby improve collective welfare of the public in the said country.

Any business organizations make purchases, sales etc. and therefore, it
makes sense to adopt the tax procedure (input / output tax, other taxes etc)
prescribed by the country to comply with the statutory norms. Tax procedures
are adopted in SAP as prescribed by the country and therefore it makes sense
to use a Tax procedure in SAP.
