Thanks Saurabh. Yes, I created 2 new Tax codes with their subsequent posting G/L accounts but there is still come confusion. How these tax codes will work with the jurisdiction codes? When you go On the 'Define Tax Codes' IMG screen (after entering the Country code= CA) the deatils screen shows Jurisdiction Code at 2 places. One which is for Ontario in the top rows and other which is Canada Wide in the columns beside the 'Tax Type/Ratee'. My question: Which jurisdiction code acts when calculation happens in MIRO?

Siddiqui,

We are about to implement this in my current client.Havent started on this yet but I will throw some ideas from my past experiences.

For the Ont. HST you will have to define new tax codes...at least one for input tax and one for output tax.The users will be using these new tax codes the date from which HST becomes effective. On the billing side, you will have to modify the tax condition in the pricing procedure by adding these new tax codes to the tax condition.

You can leave the old tax codes the way they are and change the description so that it says something like expired on date MM/DD/YYYY.You might also need to create new G/L tax accounts which would be mapped to the new tax codes and should only reflect the HST tax balances.

Thanks,

Saurabh.
