Hi,
I got the solution from a consultant. Below mentioned is the solution:
Go to IMG->FA->AA->Master Data-> Screen Layout->Define Screen Layout for
Asset Master Data---Define Screen Layout for Asset Master Data
Here choose screen layout rule, which is assigned to your renavation asset
class and choose sub dailog Logical field groups and choose 11-Inventory
and again choose sub dailog Field group rules.
Here select check box for *Class* for the invenotry data field.
SAVE and now check with OAOA.

Hi Vaani
Did you check the screen layout? May be the screen lay out prevents edit
activity of the field. It is also likely that the mainentance of the field
is at Asset Class level which means it cannot be edited. Try changing this
behavior ( of course, with due security permission) and check if you are
able to have the issue resolved.
