I saw several possibilities to get a report.
Many SAP reports have direct download function to Excel - search for the menu option / button. So, You should have the ability to export that report in one batch into an Excel file. Current output into a Text file
In this case, your current user needs correct authorisations, if I remember exactly, something as ? S_DATASET with field values ACTVT = ?34? (Write access for application server files) I think there is an another one.
Also, if the developper creates a report inside a file, and if they allows you to get its filename, there is a Tcode allowing to transfer datas from SAP to your PC, it should be "C3GX" or the "C3GY" Tcode for this usage.
