It could be BASIS if the OP wants more than just data (e.g., program, etc.). It would then become a client copy.

If it is just data, then it is either ALE or ABAP. They could also use the standard upload programs that SAP provide as well as their own. And, yes that could either be in the INTERFACES or DEV forums.

Sorry, the bullet indentation got messed up. The BASIS part is supposed to be under the question to see if the OP requires more than just data. I sometimes forget that the format is played with when we post and/or reply.

Cheers

John

No it's not Basis, it's ALE and that could fall under development. He also
appears to be thinking in terms of conversions, with his allusion to SXDA so
it would seem natural to ask in development. But it's probably better to ask
in the interfaces forum. However, I did point him in the right direction.
And your points about supporting master data go without saying, which is a
good reason to say them.

Could you be more specific?

* Do you just want the data?

* Do you just wanting transactional data?

* This has issues without the supporting master data. Like Sales orders
without the supporting Customer and Material master.

* Or, do you also want the supporting master data?

* Or, do you want configuration, programs and data?

* This is definitely a BASIS question. And, it has been discussed a few
times in the Toolbox for IT BASIS forum.

Cheers

Hi,

We want migrate transactional data within two different SAP 6.0 servers. So
we want to know if there are any standard transaction or program that can be
used for this purpose. I mean take tha data from one server and put them to
the other server. I have heard about the transaction SXDA but it seems this
tool is useful to upload data but not to download them from the origin
server. Are there any way to do both steps ( download and upload) at the
same run process? or at least a tool for each one of them?

Thanks
